Our team has expertise across multiple research methodologies including systematic reviews (including meta-analyses and meta-ethnographies), feasibility studies, randomised clinical trials, quantitative and qualitative studies and surveys. Our team mainly consists of physiotherapists but our research is often multi-disciplinary and is well supported by the HSK team of educational technologists, a dedicated school information manager and the Learning and Teaching Innovation Centre. The MSK Research Unit has its own laboratory which allows researchers to use equipment such as an integrated Biopack system and other sensory equipment to measure physiological responses, a diagnostic ultrasound machine and a set of Virtual Reality Headsets, a smart television and computers. We also have recording and transcription equipment to support qualitative data collection.
